Bob Gill

I am presently living in Kelligrews where the sun does shine more. I started riding motorcycle in 1972 on my brothers Honda 125cc. The training ground consisted of my Dad's potato field. I worked up to my present ride of a 2013 Suzuki C90 BOSS - Blacked Out Special Suzuki. I have ridden around Eastern Canada and the Eastern Shores of the USA but the best was the Grand Canyon, a rental, but a great trip. I have helped out with the Club's main fund raiser, our Christmas time Harley giveaway, for many years either selling tickets offshore or distributing to others. I have helped with the final talleys at the end which sounds easier than it looks. My intention is to help others in the biking communitee meet a great bunch of people and help those under privilaged sick children through our Newfound Foundation. I joined NFR on 2006 and have not looked back. We are always looking for members that enjoy riding, raising donations for charities and just having fun.

Derrick Kennell

I joined Newfound Riders back in 2016 because I wanted to ride with a riding group that promotes safety, has fun, supports the community and helps people who are less fortunate than ourselves. I am very proud of each and every member and what we do right here in our Province. I have been riding since 1985 and feel that the open road is good for the mind, body and soul. What better way to do it than with my NFR friends and family! We attend and support the charitable rides in our community such as the Ride for Riley, Ride for Dad, Twist Your Wrist Ride for Childrens Wish, Allied Memorial Remembrance Ride, Glenn Kennell Memorial Ride for the Breath of Life for Cystic Fibrosis, Nevaeh's Lemonade Stand Ride, Cst. Sam Jeffers' Memorial Ride, and many more! We also have our own Newfound Foundation which helps sick children right here in our province. How awesome is that! So if your thinking about, or interested in, joining a riding group - reach out to us here on the website or contact one of our members for details!

Julie Hart

Julie Hart is secretary for the NewFound Riders and is honoured to be part of a riding group that supports Ronald MacDonald House and the Ride for Dad. She has been riding for five years and presently rides a 2013 Yamaha V-Star. Julie has accompanied her good buddy, Bob, across the Atlantic provinces, to Maine, and to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon sometimes looking up directions from a Post-It note stuck on the back of Bob's helmet!

Public Relations

I have been an active member with the Newfound Riders since 2008. I have held Executive roles within the club starting in 2010 as Treasurer handling all the club’s financial responsibilities and reporting until the AGM held in March 2014. In 2014 I held the position of Vice President until 2016 when I moved into the role of President. I continue to be responsible for managing the yearly Harley-Davidson ticket draw. Sadly, I am currently without a motorcycle but am actively looking for a replacement for my 2018 Honda Gold Wing Tour DCT! The 2021 Gunmetal Black Metallic version pictured below is highly favored!
